Our Outreach Volunteers are trained advisers that attend outreach sessions and events across Winchester District to provide information and advice, and to raise awareness of our services.
Outreach Volunteer Tasks
- Give basic advice to people attending our outreach sessions
- Refer people into our service in Wickham or Winchester (or one of our specialist services)
- Support our Partnerships and Outreach adviser to deliver talks and attend events
- Engage with our local partners to develop relationships and promote our service
Skills and Experience
- Friendly and approachable
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Happy using computers and have basic IT skills
- Able to travel to different places in Winchester District
Commitment
All our Volunteer Outreach Advisers must have completed our adviser training programme first. Please see our Advice Volunteer role for more details of the adviser training programme. We expect our Volunteer Outreach Advisers to volunteer for a day (or two half days) each week for at least 12 months.
