We offer free independent advice with compassion and without judgment.

All calls to this number are free. Lines are open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

The Citizens Advice website contains up to date information and advice on a wide range of issues. An online web chat is also available.

If your enquiry is less urgent, you can also email us with your advice queries. (Please allow up to four days for us to respond)

If you work for a support organisation and need to refer a client to us for advice.

What to bring when you visit us

Please note our Bishop’s Waltham office has now closed, due to the imminent sale of the building. We are running regular drop-in advice sessions at Bishop Waltham Library, details of which can be found in the community outreach calendar above.

Specialist Advice

Hampshire Macmillan

Specialist advice on benefits, finance, housing, and employment issues for people in Hampshire living with cancer. Open Monday to Friday 9am-4pm. Calls to this number numbers cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02 number and count towards any inclusive minutes.

Consumer Helpline

National helpline for clients with a consumer issue. Open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. Calls are free from mobiles and landlines.

Debt Helpline

National helpline for clients who need help with debt. Open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Calls are free from mobiles and landlines.

Universal Credit Help to Claim

National helpline for people who need help applying to Universal Credit for the first time. Open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Calls are free from mobiles and landlines.
