We’re looking for new advice volunteers to join our team in Wickham on a Monday or Wednesday. If you are looking for an interesting and rewarding volunteer role that helps local people find solutions to their problems and fight for social justice then this is the role for you!

No previous experience is needed to join us as an advice volunteer as full training is provided, though you must be good with people, have a friendly and outgoing manner and be comfortable using computers and learning different IT platforms.

We’re starting our next adviser training programme in September 2025. Training is mixture of classroom-style sessions (half a day), mentoring (half a day) and self-study (half a day) over approximately nine weeks.  Once trained, you’ll be expected to volunteer at least one day a week for at least a year.

Volunteering with us offers a great way to increase your employability, build confidence, learn new skills and make an enormous difference to the lives of local people.  Our volunteer advisers come from a range of backgrounds including; students, retired people, people getting back into work after career breaks and people with part-time jobs.
