Our Volunteer Outreach Advisers are trained advisers that attend outreach sessions and events across Winchester District to provide information and advice, and to raise awareness of our services.
Being a Volunteer Adviser can be a hugely rewarding role. With full training and ongoing supervision from our wider team, you will offer trusted support to local people who are facing enormous challenges in their lives.
Skills, Experience and Commitment:
- A friendly and outgoing manner, with the ability to engage with different groups of people
- Confidence using basic IT skills
- Able to commit to a day (or two half-days) a week
Previous experience of giving advice isn’t required, as full training will be provided.
While this isn’t an essential requirement, we are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience of using Citizens Advice or other advice/support services.
Please email admin@cawinchesterdistrict.org.uk to register your interest and find out more about our next adviser training programme.
