The cost-of-living crisis has dominated our advice delivery over the past financial year (April 2022 to April 2023) with our advisers delivering both frontline emergency supportĀ  (helping people access food, energy and housing) as well as advising people on their overall financial capability i.e. looking for opportunities for individuals to reduce their outgoing costs and also maximise their income through benefits applications, and accessing local and national grants.

It has been an extremely challenging time for our service, with huge demands put upon our advice team (most of whom are volunteers), but we’ve delivered a highly professional, compassionate and high-quality service to those that have needed us and as a result, had a significant impact on the lives of hundreds of local people.

You can read more about our activities and the impact of our service between April 2022 and March 2023 in our Impact Report for 2022/23.
